News | Dancesport - Breaking and E-sports to be included in the 2022 19th Asian Games

The Asian Games, also known as Asiad, is a continental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. The Games are recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and are described as the second largest multi-sport event after the Olympic Games.
The most recent game was held in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia September 2018 and the next game are scheduled to be held in Hang Zhou, China from 10 to 25 September 2022.
The last Dancesport event (Latin n Standard) was featured in the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games and for the first time, Dancesport - Breaking alongside with Esports has been officially approved for inclusion as a medaled sport in the 19th Asian Game. Dancesport - Breaking's events are scheduled to be held on 23rd and 24th September 2022. With these two additions, the 2022 Asian Games will now see a total of 42 medaled events.
