SDSA | Breakdancing, known as breaking in Olympic circles has just been included into 2021 Asian Youth Games which will be hosted from November 20 to 28, 2021 in Shantou City, China. A proposal submitted to the OCA President by DSA President, Crossen Yin Guochen on October 21, 2019 to take breaking into the 2021 Asian Youth Games and the 2022 Asian Games both of which shall be hosted in China, has successfully been agreed to include breaking into 2021 Asian Youth Games that will will be hosted in Shantou City, China in 2021, from November 20 to 28. In line with the requirements of the organizing committee, DSA President Crossen Yin Guochen has officially nominated Mr. Jimmy Su Jie (DSA Vice President and CDSF Secretary General) the liaison officer for breaking. According to the Olympics website, for a sport or event to be included in the Olympics, the International Olympic Committee must recognize a governing body or an international federation -- in breaking’s case the WDSF. Under the guidance of Wdsf, DSA will fix down the competition rules and judging system as soon as possible and details regarding updated arrangements and other information will be informed to all members upon confirming with the local organizers. Lastly by DSA President to all breaking athletes, "Please kick off your preparations for participating in the said games at an earliest date."
